The Soul Sensations
The Soul Sensations were a teen band originating in New Orleans' Gentilly Ponchartrain Park neighborhood in the late 1960s by brothers, Warren Nabonne, Jr. (guitar) and Gary Nabonne (drums), and a few friends in the area. They were later joined by their cousin, Sharon Nabonne (vocals). They captivated audiences at house parties, weddings, family gatherings, and other local venues.
By the next decade, other seasoned musicians like Wendell Brunious, Marilyn Barbarin, Cynthia Williams, the legendary duo, "The Aubry Twins"-Jerome and Tyrone Aubert, and others joined and entertained crowds at popular, local venues like The Coachman’s Lounge, The Nightcap, and LaStrada’s throughout the years. This mix of multi-talented musicians, showcasing the latest R & B and soul hits of the era, were always favorable to their audiences. Join us for this special reunion performance!
