The Shea Pierre Piano Quartet 
presents a harmonious amalgamation of diverse influences drawn from the rich tapestry of Black American and global music traditions. Echoing a classic yet invigoratingly fresh sound, their swing-rooted compositions manage to convey a pleasing auditory experience that simultaneously challenges and captivates the listener's intellect. Their music elicits a powerful emotive response, crafting an immersive journey that not only pleases the senses but also stimulates thoughtful reflection. 
 
Tonight, he presents the Shea Pierre Quartet, featuring:
Shea Pierre - piano 
Miles Berry - saxophone 
Jasen Weaver - bass
Peter Varnado - drums
 
ABOUT SHEA PIERRE:
In the vibrant, diverse landscape of New Orleans, Shea Pierre has carved a niche for himself as an extraordinary pianist and composer. His performances have resonated with audiences around the world, his musical prowess being both profound and captivating. Rooted in the rich cultural heritage of his city, Shea's passion for music has blossomed into a unique fusion of jazz, world music, and an array of other genres, consistently engaging listeners on a global scale. His notable accomplishments have earned him widespread acclaim and respect within the international music community.
Shea embarked on his musical odyssey at a tender age of four, joining his family's gospel group,The Williams Sisters. His performances across numerous churches in the New Orleans region provided the groundwork for refining his skills and learning from esteemed musicians like Ellis Marsalis.

Now a GRAMMY-nominated pianist, Shea has had the privilege of sharing the stage with renowned artists and ensembles, including Christian aTunde Adjuah Scott, Donald Harrison Jr, the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra, Weedie Brimah and the Hands of Time, Fatoumata Diawara, and more.

Kind Reminder:  Snug Harbor does NOT serve food inside the Music Room. In order to preserve the integrity, quiet and focus of our world class intimate concerts, only cocktails and soft drinks are available for table service inside the Music Room. However, we encourage you to arrive at least 90 Minutes prior to your showtime in order to enjoy full, relaxing dinner service in the Dining Room right next door, before getting seated in the Music Room for the show.
