Snug Harbor presents
John Maestas Quartet
Monday May 13th, 2024 9:30pm (Doors: 9:00pm)

John Maestas is a guitarist from Albuquerque, New Mexico and based in New Orleans. He started his career as a sideman to many inspiring contemporary young artists performing original music, while also accompanying and learning from New Orleans legacy artists. He has become known as a versatile music producer working in studios writing, recording & performing songs for world-class artists including Christian Scott, Nicholas Payton, MonoNeon, Maurice Brown, Jon “Papa” Gros, Elzhi, Pell, Nesby Phips, Fiend and many others.  In 2016, Maestas co-founded the indie record label, Bubble Bath Records, which helps to educate, elevate & empower young artists in navigating the music industry, along with being a platform to release his own music. John’s debut album “The Dream Catcher” is music inspired by the iconic high desert imagery of New Mexico and imbued with the expansive folklore of the Southwest. His newest album ‘Azúl Arriba, Blue Below’ is a collection of ambient instrumental songs inspired by the blue that encompasses our world above and below.
