DON VAPPIE & JAZZ CRÉOLE

Don Vappie is a world renowned jazz musician and bandleader from New Orleans. He leads the Creole Jazz Serenaders, a classic New Orleans jazz orchestra, as well as his various jazz and R&B combos. He has produced and recorded numerous albums and film soundtracks, and is star of the PBS documentary "American Créole: New Orleans Reunion." Known for his virtuosic banjo skills, Don is also a stellar bassist, guitarist and vocalist. Add to that his commitment to the preservation and perpetuation of the cultural créole music of New Orleans he calls "créole jazz." 

Vappie’s most recent album, “The Bluebook of Storyville” was named 2020 Album of the Year by The Times London. He was also awarded the 2021 Steve Martin Banjo Prize, and was inducted into the Banjo Hall of Fame in 2022.
 

Tonight, he presents his Jazz Créole quartet, featuring

Clarnence Johnson III - reeds (clarinet, saxophone) 
Mike Esnault - piano
Richard Moten - bass 

Shows at 7:30pm & 9:30pm 
Doors at 7:00pm & 9:00pm

Advance Ticket-Holders can also make table reservations for dinner in the Restaurant next door by Emailing info@snugjazz.com after your tickets have been purchased online for the Music Room. Dinner Service without Advance Concert Tickets is first-come, first-served based on availability upon arrival.

Bar Room is Open 5pm - Midnight, with or without tickets. 

Kind Reminder:  Snug Harbor does NOT serve food inside the Music Room. In order to preserve the integrity, quiet and focus of our world class intimate concerts, only cocktails and soft drinks are available for table service inside the Music Room. However, we encourage you to arrive at least 90 Minutes prior to your showtime in order to enjoy full, relaxing dinner service in the Dining Room right next door, before getting seated in the Music Room for your showtime.
