Tom McDermott is a pianist and composer known for his eclecticism.  He has a great love of Brazilian music, the Beatles, European classical music, early Duke Ellington, and much more. McDermott has been  a member of the Dukes of Dixieland and the New Orleans Nightcrawlers. He has recorded 17 albums as a band leader.

Tom has written for the theater (the Obie-award-winning off-Broadway show, “Nita and Zita”), and appeared in bit roles in the movies (“He Said She Said”).  In the New Orleans-based HBO series “Treme,” he played  himself five times in three seasons and had 10 pieces of music used on the soundtrack. His original music has also appeared in Showtimes’ “The Knick.”

Tonight, Tom is joined by James Evans, a talented multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and composer.

Kind Reminder:  Snug Harbor does NOT serve the full menu inside the Music Room. We do offer cheese and charcuterie tray options. In order to preserve the integrity, quiet and focus of our world class intimate concerts, only the charcuterie, cocktails and soft drinks are available for table service inside the Music Room. However, we encourage you to arrive at least 90 Minutes prior to your showtime in order to enjoy full, relaxing dinner service in the Dining Room right next door, before getting seated in the Music Room for your ticketed showtime.
