RICKY SEBASTIAN QUINTET

Ricky Sebastian is one of the premiere drummers and music educators in the American music world. Fluent in all styles, Ricky has recorded on hundreds of albums with a myriad of artists, toured the world four times, performed at all of the top jazz festivals with numerous jazz and latin artists, and has taught thousands of students throughout his career.
In addition to tours and recordings with artists such as Herbie Mann, Dianne Reeves, Harry Belafonte, Michael Franks, Les McCann, Bobby McFerrin and more, Ricky also had the distinct experience of playing with the late bass legend, Jaco Pastorius.
Born in southwest Louisiana, Ricky was raised in a family setting that exposed him to music at a young age; particularly soul, New Orleans R&B, Cajun, and Zydeco styles, as well as jazz and blues. He has one album, “The Spirit Within,” released under his name and is the author of an instructional book/CD entitled Independence on the Drum Set.
He is an active clinician for Zildjian Cymbals, Pearl Drums, Pro-Mark drumsticks, Remo products, and LP Percussion. He has given clinics and masterclasses around the globe. In 2004, Ricky was invited as a clinician for the Percussive Arts Society International Convention, which is attended by music educators from around the world. He has become an in-demand educator in the New Orleans area and is producing the next wave of young musicians in a city that is famous for its music by teaching drum and music lessons, including under the direction of the late Ellis Marsalis Jr. at the University of New Orleans’ School of Music.

All dinner table reservations must be attached to advance concert tickets. Dinner Service without Advance Concert Tickets is first-come, first-served based on availability upon arrival. Full Bar is Open 6pm – Midnight for all on show nights, with or without tickets.
Kind Reminder: Snug Harbor does not serve food inside the Music Room. In order to preserve the integrity, quiet and focus of our world class intimate concerts, only cocktails and soft drinks are available for table service inside the Music Room. However, we encourage you to arrive 90 Minutes prior to your showtime in order to enjoy full, relaxing dinner service in the Dining Room right next door, before getting seated in the Music Room for the show. 8pm ticket holders can also enjoy dinner, dessert or appetizers after the show, with Dining Room seating only guaranteed by submitting your table request before 8pm.

All performances are currently sold at half the normal audience capacity, creating an even more intimate listening experience. Covid mandates are honored with masks suggested for all, and seating more distanced than our usual. Please be prepared to present a valid proof of Covid vaccination or negative PCR test dated within the past 3 days, with matching Photo ID for entry. No ticket refunds are issued if due to lack of Covid prevention preparation.
